i have been listening to kelly clarkson's new album all i ever wanted lately and i can't get this song out of my head! i am really digging it. it's definitely one of her stronger songs from the album. ahh it makes me want to start doing music videos again, i wish i owned a video camera!

i am so sick right now. about two days before we left maine, i came down with a terrible sore throat and it has persisted and mutated into a really bad cough and head cold. my head is POUNDING right now. i took some medicine but all it has managed to do is make my stomach upset. i keep saying to myself that i will pick up the phone and tell my boss that i am leaving but one thing piles on top of the other and i can't find the time to actually do it! i hate my job so much. its days like this when it kills me. even though i am dying here, i can't leave work cause it will be total chaos if i leave. my boss is incompetent and CANNOT go to his appointments unless i am here to remind him about it. so if i take off, that means double the work when i get back since i will have to reschedule the appointments and make nice with customers.
grrrrrrr, i really like the peace and quiet i get by being in the office by myself but sometimes i wish that someone was here with me to take over if i need them to.
at least i have some good news...pre-sales for the reba/kelly clarkson tour went on sale today for the connecticut show. i kept telling myself that i wasn't going to buy tickets, that i need to save up money for when we move to oakland...but then i checked on the site and i just couldn't resist buying up two tix! i got floor seats and i'm in one of the first sections so it should be a pretty good show. i haven't decided who i am going to bring with me yet but i'll figure it out soon enough.

p.s. i FINALLY finished breaking dawn!!!! not my favorite book out of the series but i am glad at how things turned out in the story.

i spent all day yesterday downloading christmas songs at work. i swear, i'm the only person in this world who can't wait for the holiday season to start so i have an excuse to listen to christmas music. my boyfriend has been sick of christmas music since they started playing it on thanksgiving...sucks for him!! :-)
here are some my favorites!this 98 degrees song is probably my favorite "new" christmas song of all time...get back together boys!!!
and for my last song choice, i am including this video my boyfriend found online that features the smashing pumpkins singing christmastime...the vid is hilarious to me, esp. when billy corgan is sitting in the window, looking all melancholy...LOVES IT!

check your local listings to see when oprah is on cause this shit is hot, you don't wanna miss it!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am SO taping it so i can watch it over and over again! i'm usually not such a big oprah fan but i'm really digging her shows so far this week.
i can't wait to hear justin and reba together! if i like their song then i'm def gonna go out and buy reba's new album. i really think its gonna be a fantastic album! omg, wouldn't it be awesome if justin and kelly sang a song together too??? omg, i would have an ear-gasm if that happened!

and the very first reba and kelly duet, singing on american idol (not sure what season though), singing does he love you?
so i officially got reimbursed for my tickets to kelly clarkson. it makes me so mad cause i was really looking forward to seeing her in concert. especially since i got such great seats for it. i'm still not sure if they permanently canceled the tour but i'm pretty sure they did since i got my money back. it was up in the air for a little while but i think it's official now. grrrrrrrr!
oh well, i will have to pacify myself with a concert my friend cong sent me of hers. not sure when it was filmed but i'm pretty sure it's from her last tour. girl can freakin BELT it out! i loveeeeee her!
btw: i've been listening to my december all week and as much as i hate to hate on her, i gotta say that it's not very good. it's not HORRIBLE though like some people have been saying. there are a couple of good songs on the album but most of the songs are blah. i think it's really hard to come back again when you have had such a successful album, especially a breakthrough album like breakaway was. kelly basically made this "rocker girl pop" genre successful so its hard to come from such a new, distinctive record and then put out something that pretty much sounds like your last album. it's all good though. her voice is still beautiful and even if this album isn't as successful as her last one, she will still continue to grow as an artist and make some mistakes but she ain't going nowhere!
Edit: around the 30 minute mark, kelly sings a great cover of annie lennox's "why"!
