i'm posting two songs for a little treat today! the first song is off her new album circus and its called unusual u. this is probably my favorite song off the whole album. i know that sounds crazy since it is a ballad and i'm all about the dance music but there is just something that i really love about it! it kind of reminds me of heaven on earth from her last album. its just a really beautiful love song that shows britney's vulnerability.

the next track is a song i discovered back in november. i downloaded a bunch of songs by britney that are not on her regular albums and this is one of the best ones that i found. its a great dance track and apparently it was co-written by imogen heap and guy sigsworth, the two members of frou frou (check out frou frou's album, they are awesome). it was released on the chaotic DVD EP and on the japanese someday (i will understand) single

this is what imogen had to say about it, "Guy and I did the song for Britney about a year ago. I didn't meet her, but Guy asked me into the studio to throw down some ideas as she was coming in a couple of days after to do the song Everytime with him. Her record company wanted a couple of others too. Guy did end up using quite a lot of my vocals!"

britney's little sister jamie lynn gave birth to her daughter yesterday at mississippi southwest regional medical center in mccomb, mississippi. the baby weighed in at 7 lbs., 11 ounces.

fortunately britney was able to fly out to mississippi to be with her little sister for the momentous occasion.

i'm super excited to see pictures of the new baby but i'm sure we'll have to wait a little bit longer till jamie lynn is back on her feet before that happens. you *know* she is gonna get a sweet photo deal for those pictures. i think the name maddie is cute and i love the name briann because thats my oldest sister's name (although she spells it brianne).

even though the circumstances were not ideal, jamie lynn stood up to the plate and took responsibility for her actions. it's not the first time a sixteen year old had an unexpected pregnancy (no one remembers that the oscar nominated actress from whale rider got pregnant at sixteen too!) nor will it be the last so people should stuff making such a fuss over the issue. at least she has earned her own money to take care of the baby!

i don't believe i have ever posted britney's video for the ballad don't let me be the last to know. it seems fitting this week since supposedly britney WAS the last to know about her little sister's pregnancy!

i freaking love this vid and song. i always forget about it for some reason though! britney looks so darn pretty in the video and its just shot beautifully.

i just woke up and heard the news on the radio. i'm in complete shock!!!! i thought that jamie lynn was gonna escape the craziness of the spears family but shes right smack in the middle of it!

i wonder if zoey 101 is gonna be canceled now? i mean, YEAH, a LOT of sixteen year olds (and younger) have sex. i know my friends were having sex then. luckily, none of them got preggo. also, NONE of my friends were living with their boyfriends! why would you let your underage daughter live with her boyfriend? there are obviously NO BOUNDARIES set in that family by the parents.

poor girl. she actually had some potential to be successful but i think that is shot now. there's no way that nickelodeon can continue on with the show, it's not a very good message to send to kids. and now she's gonna have a baby and live in Louisiana and POOF! there goes her career. i actually thought she might be as successful as britney one day but i really don't think there's any hope in that now. she was giving miley cyrus a run for her money but she ain't goin nowhere but down now.

but seriously, why would you plaster this news on the cover of a magazine? christ, do it like they did it back in the day. whisk her off somewhere to have the baby where no one can see her or find her. then go back to filming the show and you're all set!
