this is what imogen had to say about it, "Guy and I did the song for Britney about a year ago. I didn't meet her, but Guy asked me into the studio to throw down some ideas as she was coming in a couple of days after to do the song Everytime with him. Her record company wanted a couple of others too. Guy did end up using quite a lot of my vocals!"

apparently, Frou Frou was a short lived duo fronted by imogen heap in 2002. the same imogen heap who was nominated for best new artist at the most recent grammy's and who showed up wearing this:
the grammys was the first time i had ever heard of her before. of course, when i told will about my "new discovery", he pointed out that he had already heard of Frou Frou before (he's an indie nerd). apparently they were on the garden state soundtrack and shrek 2 soundtrack (totally random!). even if i'm five years too late, i ordered their album Details and have been listening to it non-stop. i think part of the reason why i got into it is because i like listening to chill music in the morning while i'm at work.
i have listened to some of imogen's solo stuff but i think that Frou Frou was better produced. the Frou Frou sound is kind of like radiohead meets enigma (remember "return to innocence"?) meets bjork. it's dark and ethereal and has some hot beats. i've tried getting into bjork before but i just don't like it. i like her beats and i totally respect her but i just don't get into her singing. Frou Frou is the better version of bjork to me.
here's a fan-video of their song "Psychobabble". i always imagine this song playing in a bank robbery/shoot-out scene in a movie...hope you enjoy!
