just realized i haven't been keeping good tabs with my book reading...so here is a belated post!
loved it, loved it, loved it! i don't want to spoil it for those who haven't read it yet but lets just say that it is soooo good. meyer dives deeper into the series to reveal a whole new splatter of twists and turns. excellent read!
and of course, i loved this one as well! i have to say that eclipse was probably my favorite out of the series so far...but twilight is following close behind. the drama, the suspense, the fighting, the romance - ahhh! it was a fantastic read. i can't freakin WAIT for the next book to come out! i swear, stephenie meyer is the equivalent to a crack addiction!
i FINALLY finished book four in the crown of stars series. it took me foreverrrr to finish, partly because i was simultaneously reading the twilight books but also because child of flame is so incredibly dense. it was definitley my least favorite book out of the series so far. luckily, i've moved on to the next book and it is already a much better read then this one.
this story about lyra from his dark materials was short but sweet. it was a good story but it left me hungry for more and of course, it made me wistful about lyra and will.
lurrrrrved this story! much better then lyra's oxford but only because it was longer. iorek and lee scoresby were two of my favorite characters from the series so it was nice reading about them again. although, like lyra's oxford, it made me sad to read because i already know that lee meets his end much too soon. but its nice to see time and respect given to these characters. i hope phillip pullman continues to release short stories like these ones. or even better, maybe he will write a whole new trilogy involving this universe! it's unlikely but a girl can dream...
finished the next two books in the crown of stars series by kate elliott. it continues to be an interesting series, although the third book was tough to get through. its still a good series to read but sometimes there's just WAY too many characters to keep track of!
also...the cover for prince of dogs is priceless!
i'm on a reading kick lately! it mostly has to do with us getting rid of our cable box and the writer's strike. i've definitley lost interest in the t.v. shows that i used to watch. and luckily i can get the shows that i'm really addicted to online (gossip girl and the office). hooray for online programming!
