leave it to the canadians to create perhaps the best reality television program in the WORLD! kenny vs. spenny is a series about two best friends - kenny & spenny. each episode consists of a contest between the two friends and the loser must suffer a humilation of the winner's choosing. it seriously so. fucking. funny.
i watched ed vs. spencer for awhile on bbc america but apparently it is a knock off of kenny vs. spenny. they are both pretty hilarious and i can't honestly choose which one i like better.
some of the competitions on kenny vs. spenny are:
Who Can Stay Awake The Longest?
Who Is The Sanest?
Who Can Stay Blindfolded The Longest?
Who Can Win A Beauty Pageant?
Who Can Stay Handcuffed The Longest?
Who Do Kids Like Most?
Who Can Live In A Van The Longest?
Who Can Drink More Beer?
the boyfriend showed me this episode titled Who Can Blow The Biggest Fart? and i honestly couldn't breathe because i was laughing so hard (to be more specific, the scene where kenny is on the stairs)! obviously this is not for people who have a problem with flatulence.
this is a slow news week for britney (not necessarily a bad thing!) so i wasn't able to scrounge up anything too delicious. the only news i heard about brit is that she went on a trip to Costa Rica last week but also that she has already been spending time in the studio, working on her new album.
People magazine reports that she has been back in the recording studio with producers J.R. Rotem (who worked on her last album) and Sean Garrett (who produced toy soldier from her last album). People provides these nice quotes from both producers:
"She's great," Rotem told PEOPLE at the BMI Pop Awards in Beverly Hills on Tuesday. "She's like a master at what she does. She's a lot more experienced than most people. She just has the 'it' factor that not every artist has. So it's always nice to work with her."
Producer Sean Garrett was mum on specifics but says that he and Spears, 26, have "a few things in the works." At the BMI Pop Awards, Garrett told PEOPLE: "I'm just happy to see her back and recovering. She's really shaping up and getting her whole situation back together. I'm really proud and happy to see her."
An unnamed source adds:
"Britney is in the experimental stages of a new album," says the source. "She's trying to find the sound and direction she wants to go in, but nothing is set in stone just yet. She has been playing the piano a lot and just singing. She says she misses 'just singing.'"
i'm really excited to hear that britney is already working on her next album. i *love* her last album but it did not get as much praise as it should have. i think that is mostly due to the falling out that britney had with the media and some of her fans. but all of her TRUE FANS know that blackout was one of the hottest albums released last year.
even so, i always look forward to hearing new music from britney. it's what she does best - she always delivers the hottest dance tracks and i have no doubt that she will continue to do so for a long time. i do hope, however, that she gets some fresh blood on her new album and get some new producers in there to change things up.
i know tysa can feel me on this one. don't get me wrong, i DO enjoy gwen stefani's music but her obsession with all things asian is a bit much. especially since she treats the harajuku girls like they were just another accessory in her closet. if you've ever felt a similar irritation for gwen then you *must* watch this Mad T.V. spoof!
p.s. bobby lee fuckin rules!!!!
YAY! i just stumbled across the trailer for the new baz luhrmann movie titled Australia starring nicole kidman and the delicious hugh jackman!!! check it out!
i have been looking forward to seeing a new baz luhrmann movie for quite awhile now. romeo + juliet was my favorite movie in middle school and moulin rouge became my favorite movie at the end of high school. i have no doubt that mr. luhrmann will create yet another breathtaking and beautiful story on screen. mark your calendars - this movie comes out on november 14th!
