Sunshine State: Karaoke Night
for weeks leading up to my visit to florida, sal kept teasing me by saying that he had bought an outfit for me to wear from a thrift store. when i got down there, i looked at the outfit and laughed my ass off. i then went to the same thrift store while sal was at work and got him an outfit to match the one he got me. sal wanted me to wear my outfit to the club for karaoke night. i told him that if i had to wear my outfit then he had to wear his as well.

needless to say, sal couldn't bring himself to wear it out that night...good thing i bought back up outfits for us!!!

that was, by far, the best time i have ever had at karaoke. when you go out to karaoke around here (connecticut), you have to get there as soon as karaoke starts to get your name in. even then, it's not guaranteed that you will even be able to sing a song! i used to go to this one bar for karaoke around here and it was filled with regulars so no outsiders EVER got a chance to sing because the DJ favored the regulars. not so in florida! sal and i sang a combined total of FIVE karaoke songs! that is unheard of up in CT! it was sooo much fun and i can't wait to go back for another karaoke night!
