QotD: Should've Seen Them Live
Which band or artist which is no longer performing or alive would you have loved to have seen?

let's do a top five, shall we?? in no particular order cause i can't sort my love for these amazing performers.
this one is probably obvious but i really have so much love for this band. i don't want to see them during their teen bop era since i prob couldn't even hear them above all the girls screaming. i wanna see them during their abbey road/white album stage when they were jamming out and making some killer music.
it still hurts to think about how john lennon was robbed from our world. and whenever i look at george's face, i get a little sentimental about this lovely man and long for a world where they both could still be here.
just another reason why i should've been born before the 80s...i wasn't even alive before john died. i still think about what a difference john could have made if he was still here...they are all just great and amazing people.
the good ones are always the ones to leave us too soon.

words i live by. :-p
i fell in love with janis in middle school. she was my inspiration for my style and attitude back then. i loved her free spirit and that she was a bad girl. i loved that she didn't give an fuck what other people thought...but yet she was still such a vulnerable little girl. her voice was amazing and soulful and none of these white bitches singing even come close to her (yeah, i'm talking to you joss stone and amy winehouse).
i always wonder what janis would have turned into if she had lived. i would have loved to see her make some music in the 70s and 80s but at the same time, she is forever immortalized now and i can't imagine her being anybody but that wild child from the 60s.
we still remember you janis and we'll never forget your fabulousness
you KNOW i'd be like penny lane from almost famous and try to get in robert plant's and/or jimmy page's pants!!! them boys were HOTTTTTT but i wouldn't hit it anymore - i really would've loved to be a teenager in this era. goddamn, they fucking rocked!
i would even go so far as to say that freddie had one of the best, if not THE best, voices in rock n' roll. queen brought rock n' roll to the 80s. no other band from that decade comes close to them - especially not all those hair bands.
i think about all the wonderful music freddie could have continued to make if he had lived - i know this band would have progressed and reinvented themselves over and over again. it's really such a shame that never happened.
i get chills whenever i hear his voice now...i can't even imagine what it must have been like to hear him live in person. it must have rocked your soul.

and lennon, oh ya i remember that only too well .. another tear jerker and major loss to us all ..
although he wasn't a musician, how about when we lost john belushi ? now, that was a real shame .. helluva a way to go too, ugh ..
speaking of belushi, reminds me of jimi hendrix's death .. now that was a huge loss =(
and last, but by no means least, the beloved janis joplin ..
she is by far my very favorite musician ever .. i have alot of admiration for her .. she went through hell & back not only in school, but through most of her life .. only to come back & show them all just what she was made of ..
her voice was amazing, she could belt out a tune like nobody's business, mastered blues and her outfits of choice wonderful and refreshingly unique .. she always had alot of interesting, and at times funny, things to be said in interviews ..
i'll miss her so, as i think we all will =(
