i love me some reba
i hate to have all of these posts come from perez, but he does stay on top of things so i gotta give him props.
he just posted this video of reba mcintire and kelly clarkson performing together at the country music awards!!!!! so fucking awesome!
i had actually already heard about this after i joined kelly clarkson's fan club and read her blog. here's the scoop from her blog:

Well I just had the best time I've ever had on stage ....ever! I just performed with Reba for Crossroads on CMT and it was so amazing! I kept catching myself just watching her perform as if I were at her show, ha! Then I'd realize I was on stage as well and it'd probably be good if I performed instead of watching :) I don't think it mattered much though, because everyone was watching her! She's captivating and everyone loves her! And, I'm happy I ended up with something cute to wear as well for the show because the night before the show my outfit was a cute vintage dress with boots and yeah the vintage part kicked in and it broke, haha! At least it broke in a hotel room and not on stage in front of people though, that would have sucked!"

Reba, Reba, and some more Reba
well,
i have had a crazy couple of months! this past month has literally been
my 'reba' month, haha! my management and i have been calling it that
because i've been working with her so much and it has been by far one
of the coolest experiences of my life! not just musically either! she
has been such a great influence on me since i was a kid, but hanging
out with her and everyone she surrounds herself with has brought a
different light on my life and how i can make things easier for me and
just be more happy, which is what everyone is looking for i think!
i had the greatest time doing her show! i'm already a big fan of the show, i love her and melissa peterman, they're my favorites! all of the people that work on her show are so great! they made me feel very comfortable, even though i was so nervous because i hate acting!
anyway, i hope y'all enjoy the episode, it's hilarious!
oh, and i did the reba tribute show just a few days ago and that was THE most fun i've ever had at a show EVER! i love country people, they are just so refreshing! obviously i was a bit out of place as far as everyone being in the country music industry, so it was awesome that i didn't feel out of place! i had the best time, especially singing reba's songs to reba!
oh, AND i went to nashville last month and recorded a duet with reba as well .....see, i wasn't kidding about it being 'reba month' haha!
the duet is great, i can't wait to hear the finished product! i had so much fun in nashville, what a great city!
okay, so i just read everything above this line and i totally sound like some reba freak fan, haha! whatever, ha!"
man, i love kelly! she's so adorable and so REAL. i can't wait for her concert!!! i also love how kelly totally honored reba and gave her most of the limelight during this performance. you know if someone like christina aguilera was there, she would be singing over reba. kelly knows when to give respect when respect is due!
