I loved the song before I really paid attention to the words. This video was especially awesome because the song lyrics appear on the bottom of the screen, and act to highlight the images and information in the song.
Aside from the awesome campaign video below, I was also impressed with the following interview Ron Paul had with NORML...
As unusual as it is to have a republican speak out for legalizing marijuana, Dr. Paul makes a very compelling argument that the Federal Government has no business telling you what drugs you can and cannot take. These are the sorts of values that I don't see anymore, and are traditionally republican. The Federal Government should leave citizens alone and give them the freedom to make their own decisions for themselves.
<I am aware that these videos show giant pot leaves. I'm not endorsing illegal drug use, but I do believe in the underlying message. The message is about freedom plain and simple and who doesn't love that?> - ob
I found this video online last night and it really spoke to me. I always considered myself a Democrat, but I've been giving serious thought to voting for Ron Paul. I find his ideas refreshingly different from the mainstream, and I like his return to the old values our country was founded on. My main question about voting for him is the ever present "elect ability" issue. I believe that if more people had been able to hear his message and consider him they might have been surprised by what they saw, but he was written off by the mainstream media and virtually ignored.
Interestingly he has been in the news because his book "The Revolution" just topped the New York Times Bestseller list.
Anyway, at the very least, the commercial has some pretty awesome CGI so it's worth a watch.
I needed a fresh start.
I'm a little reluctant to be back on Vox for private use. I'm amazed that you still can't back up entries here, and I hate not having that functionality since you never know when you'll need to wipe out an online presence at a moment's notice. But more people I gives a fuck about, and more people who gives a fuck about me are on this side of the pond. So here I will reside for now.

I have never been someone who is very motivated to do housework. Not to say that I don't do it, I do, but it's usually begrudgingly after I've let them get out of control. One of the most recent reasons why I'm not motivated to do housework is because it's a lot more fun to play video games! I used to neglect my chores (and sometimes basic hygiene, ugh) to level up a little bit in World of Warcraft.
Now I find myself neglecting chores to gain experience in Final Fantasy X.
Basically it seems that my motivation to do chores is undermined by my motivation to gain experience points. Well thanks to this grand age of technology we live in, the two have been combined in Chore Wars!
This awesome new site lets you create a character and go off on great adventures to slay evil garbage monsters, or conquer the mighty mountain of dirty dishes! You can design different adventures based on the housework that needs to get done. Once you complete the adventure your character is awarded XP and Gold!
Just this weekend my character earned 121XP and 121 Gold for washing dishes, making breakfast, cleaning the coffee table, making dinner, and helping to do the laundry!
This system works well in my and any house where you want to both motivate people to do chores and also to keep track of who does more of the housework, especially if the house contains gamers as obsessed with RPGs as me.
Audio: Share a song with powerful lyrics.
The first track off of Muse's Black Holes and Revelations has some of the most powerful lyrics I have heard in a long time. This video takes it to another level, but the song on it's own is very timely and meaningful.
I just had one of my favorite vacations ever, in Hartford, CT! Who would have guessed that for the first time since I moved two years ago, I actually had a hard time pulling myself away back to California.
Wowoweowow, I just apparently entered a really intense segment of my netflix queue. Let me just say that out of The Queen, Syriana, The Motorocycle Diaries, and Maria Full of Grace the only one I have made it through is Motorcycle Diaries, which was amazing.
This is my first pet as an adult! So she is 100% my responsibility. It is a little intense but I think I can handle it. Also, I am fostering her from the shelter until she is old enough to be fixed, then I will adopt her. And if it doesn't work out, she can always be adopted and at least she will have had a nice home for her formative months. But I have a good feeling that it is going to be a good match.
She is very skittish and scaredy, but hopefully she will settle down once she gets used to my place and me. We have already had a couple of breakthroughs, she hopped up on the couch and walked all over me, but then ran away when I tried to pet her. I just love watching her hop about, her butt is seriously the cutest thing ever!
So welcome her to my happy home!
